I’m working on Noticeboard. She wants to know what I’m up to, so I pull her onto my lap and decide to let her have a go.
I ask her to click Create Notice and type a message.
Her message? “I love you Daddy”
She hits send.
Four little words. A big moment.
To her amazement, the words she’s just typed on the laptop have appeared on my phone. A little bit of magic, right there on Daddy’s lap.
For me, it’s one of those moments that stays with you. We spend so much time building, tweaking and thinking about how to make things easier. Then a three-year-old comes along and gives you a very good reason to smile!
That was the moment I realised we were doing something right.
Keeping it simple.
Noticeboard has always been about making communication simpler and bringing people closer together. Sometimes that means helping a school share an important update with parents. And sometimes it’s a little girl sending four words to her dad.
With a little help from Daddy, she’d sent her first notice. And reminded me why we put so much care into making it easy.
A dashboard so easy, a three-year-old could use it.
Noticeboard — For the moments that matter.
